Who is behind this website?
www.mypulse.org.uk is the online community for The Pulse- a collection of children’s and youth groups across the Stroud area in Gloucestershire, offering free, fun, energetic and high-quality youth work with ethical christian values. Your child would be welcome at any of these "real life" clubs- check out our clubs page for details. The Pulse and www.mypulse.org.uk are set up and maintained by the registered charity PSALMS.
The purpose of this website
The purpose of the website is to create and sustain an interactive, welcoming, safe and positive community of young people, equipping them to build relationships with each other and the adult staff and volunteers of PSALMS.
Things you should know
The safety of your child is of utmost importance to us, but online, as in real life, your child can encounter dangers when interacting with new people. Therefore we strongly advise you read our moderation advice document to understand how the site works and what we do to monitor it. In summary:
- As a parent or guardian, if you choose to involve any child under the age of 18 on this website, please be aware that you are responsible for the safety and security of your child.
- Any child under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult whilst using the site.
- This site is checked daily by adult moderators for inappropriate content and behaviour.
- Content is post-moderated- ie it is reviewed after it becomes visible to other users
- Anyone can join and view the public areas of the site, although a moderator will contact them to ascertain their identity and motives.
- If your child uploads content (photos, text, video etc.) to the site, they remain responsible for that content, and can choose whether to make it publically available or just to a select few. Please refer to the moderation advice document for more details.
